Model, Data & Accuracy
Our predictions are generated by a deep learning model trained on thousands of labeled food images and nutrition pairs. The model combines object detection, classification and portion estimation to provide a best-effort nutrition estimate.
Accuracy varies by image quality and dish complexity — simple, single-item dishes (e.g., an apple, a piece of chicken) achieve higher accuracy than complex mixed dishes (e.g., stews, biryanis).
